**Algebra I Vol. 2-9 A-B

Prerequisite: “C” or better in Algebra I Vol. I. Open to ninth grade students only. **

This class will explore order of operations, equations, functions, proportions, solving systems of linear equations and inequalities, polynomials, factoring, quadratic equations, exponential functions, equations, radical expressions and equations, and statistics.

Prerequisite: None **

This class will explore computations, order of operations, signed numbers, equations, functions, rational numbers (fractions) and proportions. It will also delve into solving, graphing and writing linear equations.

Prerequisite: “C” or better in Algebra I Vol. I. **

**Geometry A-B

Prerequisite: “C” or better in Algebra I Vol. II **

This class will have the traditional theory approach to geometry. This course stresses reasoning, organization of thoughts, the geometry of triangles and other polygons, parallel lines, ratios, vectors, proportions, and circles. Algebra skills are reviewed. (A large percentage of the ACT math questions are applied geometry.)

**Honors Geometry A-B

Prerequisite: Freshman, “B” or better in Algebra I Vol. II, and suitable score on the placement test. **

This class will have the traditional theory approach to geometry. This course stresses reasoning, organization of thoughts, the geometry of triangles and other polygons, parallel lines, ratios, vectors, proportions, and circles. Algebra skills are reviewed. (A large percentage of the ACT math questions are applied geometry.) The honors portion will focus heavily on proofs and reasoning.

Topics will include real numbers, properties of functions (linear, quadric, and trigonometry), vector space, logarithms, rates of change, Trig identities, and Trig equations.

**Concurrent Statistics A-B

Full Year Class
Prerequisite: “B” or better in Algebra II and must pass the Compass Exam or ACT**

This course will cover observing patterns, deciding what and how to measure, producing models, and statistical inference. It will also prepare students for the AP Statistics test in order to receive college credit. Class may be used as Concurrent Enrollment at ISU. You must have a 23 on the ACT math or a 46 on the ALEKS test or a 560 on the ERW section of the SAT.

**Concurrent Calculus A-B

Prerequisite: Written application to the teacher and Pre-Calculus mastery **

This course is first semester college calculus. The objective is to prepare for Calculus II at a college. If taking for concurrent credit you must have a 29 on the math section of the ACT or a 76 on the ALEKS test or a 680 on the math section of the SAT.

Prerequisite: Seniors only. Passing grade in Algebra I Vol I and II or grade less than C in a previous Geometry class**

This will be a hands-on discovery of Geometry. This course will cover the geometry of triangles and other polygons, parallel lines, ratios, proportions, and circles. Algebra skills are reviewed.

**Financial Math A-B

Full Year Class
Prerequisite: Seniors only. Passing grade in Geometry. You must have Financial Math A to register for Financial Math B.**

This course is an applied math class. You will use algebra and other computational math skills as you learn personal finance topics, including: budgeting, money management, investments, risk management, financial planning, etc.
