SHS Career Choice

Careers Choice Classes
Each student must take and pass one of the following Career Class options

Semester Class

Prerequisite:  None

This semester class focuses on finding a job and learning interview skills. Students will also work on building a job portfolio to take with them when they leave high school. Students will learn to prepare for college by learning how to apply for grants and scholarships and to become more employable for future careers.


Intro to Ag A-B
2 Credits
Full Year Class
Prerequisite:  None

**Both classes must be taken as a Freshman to fulfill the careers credit**

This class covers the following units of instruction: FFA Leadership, Supervised Agriculture Experience, Record-keeping, Parliamentary Procedure, Swine Science, Beef Science, Dairy Science, Sheep Science and Equine Science. Class is an articulated course with the College of Southern Idaho. A full year of this course will also fill the “Careers” requirement
